oh and here is my concept statement if you need more information on the project:

Since 1894 MAC cosmetics has been in the spotlight for their innovative design, color, techniques and unique quality of products. With their unique way of recycling their used cosmetic containers, MAC is conquering and moving forward with the sustainability movement.

Their new headquarters is located in an existing building to reduce construction cost and carbon foot printing. Sustainable features include optimized energy performance through alternative energy, an emphasis on day lighting through out the space, and green building materials and finishes. Combined with these features the new headquarters will hold the integrity of the MAC brand through a sleek, modern, and timeless design.

This facility has various unique features. Many of the features include open and closed spaces for private and public use, breakout areas for employees to enjoy the modern design of the space, and shower rooms with bike storage. The main conference area allows for plenty of daylight for energy reduction as well as all the departments and cafeteria area. All materials and finishes have attributes of renewable and recyclable materials and every department has recycle areas to help with the sustainable movement.

The overall space has the feel of sustainability and modern design, helping mankind with this sustainable movement. MAC has always been in spotlight for their uniqueness in all of their products, advertisements, and unique recyclable materials; and they will continue through their unique, sustainable design of their new headquarters.
