{to the #1 man in my life}

A quick shout out to the best man EVER that has been in my life.

you will always be the #1 man ever in my life.

I love and miss you soo much.

Today I wanted to talk to you in person sooo much.

But I know you are with me and I can feel your presence with me.

I love. More that anything.

Happy Papa day.

It all started with this sign.

A lady came up to us and ask us.
L: "are you guys wanting to go to the concert?"
me: "Yes we do, but we don't have tickets"

L: "What if I could help with you with?"
me:"Whats the catch?"

L:"Nothing, all you have to do is make a sign and I will get you up to the VIP section of the concert"
me:"What does the sign have to say"

L:"Nothing, any thing you want it to say, sooooo?

me:"Hell yes!"

We didn't know for sure if it was a scam or not, but we were willing to try!

I mean come on! VIP for Lady GAGA?!?!

well it wasn't a scam, well kinda, something sketch went on to get us in there but we didn't ask questions and we got it!!

5th row to LADY GAGA!!!

{A permanent Sleepover}

yeah thats right. my life as an intern is a permanent sleepover. 6 girls. 6 air mattresses. 1 bathroom.

yeah good times. girl talk every night and snuggle movies by computer screen. we sure do know how to live it up here in the big apple.

Really its fine most times, but sometimes a girl need sometime for herself, you know?

Me. I need a lot of time for myself, with out it, i might take some girls heads off. thank goodness Central Park is 2 block away.

seriously the cheapest blankets were in the little girl section of target so thats what you get. 6 beds in pink and purple.

The "get ready" room. sooo many clothes in such a tiny space.

The living room and dining table were we all come together and eat our $5.00 milk and $7.00 cereal.
The Yoga room and our vister room for all the friends and famly that come {wait none of you are coming. boo:(}
our 2' x 2' shower. shaving is an interesting experience. talk about heel stretch.
toilet and sink, yep its maroon. NBD
and our small small kitchen.

its a small apt. but just perfect for what we need it for and the best part. super super cheap$$.

{I made it safely and trying to fit in}

Well I made it to be the concrete jungle safely and survived my 1st week at Vicente Wolf. I have started a design blog to help with my inspiration and my memoirs of working here in NYC so if you want the nitty gritty of it go {HERE} Ill try to keep both my personal and design blog updated for the 2 readers (my sisters) updated.

I have decided 2 things while being here a week. Living here and visiting here are 2 different experiences, and I would rather just visit. I know it has only been one week, but you learn a lot in a week, especially about yourself.

I love the city and I always thought I could live here for a couple of years, but I really don't think I could. The mood and feel of the city (work wise) is not what I expected and I do not really like it. I miss the friendly conversations, sincerity, and just down right niceness that I have grown up with, even visiting other states I still get that feel, but not here.

Still love the city and all the amazing things I have and will see while I am here, but as far as long term, no I don't think I will make this a permanent residence anytime in the future.

I think I am cut out for more open spaces, fresh air and friendly people. I miss my mountains and fresh air. I miss being able to see the stars at night and lying on the grass with out a MILLION other people surrounding me. I miss quite time.

But I do LOVE all the museums, shops, historical sites, broadways, ballets, and the nightlife of this city. I love the excitement that I am living here and the memories that I will take back from this and be able to tell my family and friends.

Soooooo 1 week down 5 more to go {oh yeah, I am only staying 6 weeks now, sooooo much more expensive than I was anticipating and I need to save for school in the fall}

This weeks adventures: the MoMa, Brooklyn botanical gardens,ICFF vender parties and a rad hotel called the Mondrian in SoHo and a few other tid bits

p.s ill post pics of the apt. and living situation soon
