{In for another review}

Its that time again.

the time where I put my heart and soul into many projects and have 5 very important people critique the heck out of them.

Its time to decide if I am cut out for the studio track {please, please, please be this one:)} or the business and marketing track.

This year they had us line all our projects up next to each other where they can compare us to everyone. SCARY!

I am happy and proud of my work that I turned in. I have come so far since last years review {go here and here}

Its so amazing how far and how much I have learned in just 1 year!

I am very proud of my progress and I know that I did the best that I could have done and so it is in the hands of the professors!

here is my projects that we had to turn in

{we had to pick a chair and build it up in 3D and then render it in 3D max, super hard, but fun at the same time}

this project cost me many sleepless night, stress, cold sores,and hair pulling, but one of my favorites:)

I loved this project, I felt like a real designer!!

We had to pick an artist to build an art gallery around them. I picked Casey O'Connell {she is amazing, please go check out her work,its perfection!} {plus she was such a doll to work with to get permissions and her paintings to put into my rendering, I loved working with her!} and her painting "When freckles Collide" for my inspiration. We then had to to a program board on what the space would need and what we could offer the artist. Then a concept board explaing how we would incorporate our inspiration into the space. finally we built up the floor plan and did spot renderings to show the material we would use in the space.

THEN THE BIG ONE! the point perspective rendering. this is where we pick a spot in the floor plan, built it up in 3D, hand sketched it and hand rendered it and put it in photoshop to add lights and realism.

It was so much fun, but so much work. It made me realize what I would be getting into and I LOVED IT!

this made my passion for interior design grow tremendously and I wanted to grow and become even better and make a difference in the design community.

BLAH.

I ran outside for the 1st time since the training of the 1/2 marathon had began.

BLAH.

I don't know why but I could NOT get a good rhythm therefor I could not run well.

I felt like someone was ripping out my lungs with a dirty devil vacuum & I felt like I was foaming at the mouth like a dirty animal with rabies. it was horrible

Actually I had to switch from running to walking.

BLAH!

I hated how I couldn't do it! I felt so good and on track and know I feel like I am starting over.

Maybe it was my new shoes, maybe I just am not meant to be a runner

Blah.

Any suggestions?

The chair project is done. YESSSSS.

I really liked it, except that my chair gave me major stress.

it just wouldn't build right,my teacher even said "damn-it" and "oh hell" a lot while helping me.

so I guess it wasn't just me.

so this chair is the back up, almost like the real things, but not exactly.

Im still working on the real one, but who knows if that will ever come.

my favorite part of this project was the rendering of the room. I really liked it and enjoyed actually making a room look real with lights and everything.

and of course working in photoshop is always a big plus!

It makes me really excited for all the future projects that I will be getting in the next 2 years.

I love it!

Yesterday the the weather was absolutely delicious

but you know when you have something so scrumptious you have to have more and more and you can never have enough of it?

well Spring weather cannot come soon enough this year

I just want the warm sunshine on my skin

and the bright colors to come back to Logan

{oh and the cute cute clothes are always a bonus}

Since I have had this.

well ALL types of this= NO SUGAR.

I don't miss it, not really.

I found that hardest part of it was finding things that didn't have refined sugar in the ingredients.

But I am getting the hang of it and finding a lot more things using organic honey or other ingredients.

BUT I will break it for Valentines day.

Because I want my mom's famous "Ice Box Dessert" aka cheesecake.

Its sooooooo Yummy. and its tradition.

But I will continue on after VD.

My goal is to really cut down on refined ingredients, make healthier choices and so on.

So once in a while won't hurt, right?

P.S this is my 100th post! woot woot I'm in the triple digits of blogging, Im such a grown up:)

{Once upon a time...}

I decided to make a goal.

A goal to do this:

With her.{my niece Katie} she got me inspired.

So I hit this with great enthusiasm

and I was doing well. Really well.

maybe to well, maybe too hard.

Because now this happened.

a bum knee.

off running hard for 4-6 weeks.

constrained to the bike.

BUMMER.

Oh well, Im going to try to not let it get me down.

just going to be a little slower at my goal.

so maybe not this June, but in August.

Another year older. the Big 71.

I can't believe it has been a year and 4 months.

2 years since I was able to celebrate his birthday with him-person 2 person.

Today I miss him terribly.

Oh so terribly.

I miss his big smile and contagious laugh.

I want to give him a big hug and have his arms around me.

I want to actually give him a present-so I can touch his big hands and see his reaction.

I love you dad and I know that you are with me today when I need you so.

Thank you for being so wonderful.

Spring?

I miss the sun kisses on my face.

I miss the feeling of grass between my toes.

{Looky Looky}

This is what I have been up to in school the past couple weeks.

our assignment was to create this lego car in AUTOCAD.

We had to learn how to build things up in 3D. We had to learn how to build up each lego size,tires,engine pieces, flames and all!

It was really fun and I love doing 3D. The next step is to put it into 3D Studio Max and render it to make it look real. then I will use the same technique and use it to start building up my tiny house.

I am way excited and can't start!!

I think they would help me be more inspired in class.

I think they would make me a better student.

Sooooooo.... can I use my school money for these then????

ok ok ok. I won't. but man! I want them so bad!

Ahhhh. school starts.

excited and nervous to start again.

get to design the inside of my house ALTEZZA.

build a 3D Lego house in AUDOCAD.

design and build model of a chair.

design and render a secret project that our teachers will choose.

and Im going to learn to build websites and use flash for my minor.

overall a fun, BUT VERY BUSY semester.

Just wanted to express my feelings of gratitude this past Christmas season. My family has been wonderful and I have had a great break.

A big THANK YOU to Karen & John for letting me be apart of their family and Christmas this year. I had such a wonderful time with all the fun things we did. SOOOOO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

To the rest of my family. you are all so wonderful and it was so fun to see and have fun with each and one of you that were able to be with us during the Christmas season. Each of you are so wonderful and I am so grateful to be apart of this family.

This season was a good one of reflection and growing and I have learned to things to help me in the future. I am so grateful of where I came from and what family I am apart of.

That's right I have turned the big 23!!!

I am so grateful for my amazing family and friends and all of the amazing opportunities that I have been able to experience and will experience and I am so glad I live in this time of life.
